Ghostbusters game, at best, delayed.

Gamestop employees have been reporting that pre-orders for the Ghostbusters game have been canceled. Apparently Activision’s new merger has resulted in a delay or an outright shitcanning of the game.

Exotic Animals in Dayton Ohio?

Near Dayton in West Alexandria, (About 12 minutes from my home) Heaven’s Corner provides a sanctuary for exotic animals abandoned by or rescued from owners in Ohio, where owning such animals is legal in suburban and rural areas. Leopards, tigers, bears, wolves, pythons and otters (among many others) call Heaven’s Corner home. This article outlines the problem, and what the sanctuary is doing to help. You can visit the sanctuary’s website here, http://www.heavenscorner.net/

Afforadable infrared night vision goggles?

These are pitched at kids, but… $90.00 night vision goggles are just too cool not to get excited about. Besides, they look bitchin’!

The commercial on Amazon’s site is extra-lame, and rather hilarious.

Pessimists on Gizmodo speculate it uses cheap monochrome cameras that pick up the IR range, like the ones in baby monitor cameras. Even if that’s the case, getting such a camera, an IR source, and gear to strap it to your head would cost about as much, wouldn’t it?
